I was tested by a doctor for celiac disease and the test came back negative. I was also tested by a naturopath and the test came back negative but I believe that is because I had already eliminated wheat/gluten from my diet. Does that mean I am not sensitive to it? Absolutely not.
What if the testing was inaccurate? What if because we are all so unique symptoms presented themselves differently from person to person and to diagnose was more difficult than we thought? What if we don’t know everything? What if we are constantly evolving and therefore our medical system needs to evolve too?
If I listened to my diagnosis I would still be eating wheat and then getting migraines, bladder infections and scary neurological symptoms. The truth is I would be really sick and wondering if there was something really wrong with me. But I didn’t listen and now I feel better.
I can’t explain why my test results came back negative but I can explain feeling astonishingly better without wheat/gluten. The happy part is that I am allowed to change my diet, and remove things I feel are triggers. Think about it this way, if you remove something and feel better isn’t that all of the proof you need?
Think about what makes you feel good and trust yourself enough to go with it. You don’t need permission from anyone to make dietary changes,
