Infertility Is On The Rise

People are struggling with infertility right now and my heart goes out them.  Getting my girls here may not have been an easy task but I still had my dreams come true.  I am so sad for the people who feel cheated, like they are missing out on their dreams.  I feel for them because it’s not fair.  It just isn’t.  Sometimes it may not be in the cards but the number of people having trouble conceiving right now just isn’t “normal.”  Even if you have had your children and are not even thinking about fertility this post may apply to you for this reason.  If we are having this much difficulty reproducing now, what does that mean for our children and the generations to come?  Will they be able to reproduce?

For a long time I have been noticing that people seem to be having trouble getting pregnant.  Many young, healthy 20 & 30 somethings are needing fertility treatment for no known medical reason.  The latest numbers that I can find are that 1 in 6 couples are having trouble conceiving and sperm counts in healthy men around the world have fallen about 50 percent in the last 50 years.  There are more men in the 18-45 reproductive age category that have infertility than diabetes.

Why would someone otherwise healthy just not be able to conceive?  Consider this: The long term effects of chemicals like BPA leeching into our soil and our bodies is not being taken seriously enough.  Our soil and water contains such a chemical cocktail that we don’t actually know how many we come into contact with on a daily basis.  Pesticides are known to harm our reproductive health but yet we are still being inundated with them in our food supply.  GMOs are known to cause sterility in lab animals so can we correlate that back to us?

In China alone, more than 10 million Chinese couples need assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures. More couples are also receiving other fertility treatment like hormonal therapy and a number of surgical procedures that are considered less intrusive and expensive than ART, experts said.  And it’s happening all over the world.

The World Health Organization (WHO) expects infertility and sterility to be the third most serious diseases worldwide in the 21st century, after cancer and cardiovascular diseases.

So what gives?  Consider how many people you know who are unable to conceive, have had pregnancy complications and or have needed IVF or fertility drugs. It has personally affected me and I was still shocked at the number when I polled my friends.

I am so confident that man made toxins are to blame.  They messed with the wrong momma bear not only because of the pain my pregnancy issues caused me, but for all of you who deserve to hold your baby in your arms.  I care about children period~whether they have arrived here yet or not.

Lab animal stats:  After feeding hamsters for two years over three generations, those on the GM diet, and especially the group on the maximum GM soy diet, showed devastating results. By the third generation, most GM soy-fed hamsters lost the ability to have babies. They also suffered slower growth, and a high mortality rate among the pups. It is really the time to trust yourself enough to take back your health.  I know I keep harping about this but please consider that even if the answer is not written in a book with a direct link you are allowed to form your own opinion if it feels right to you.  What is the worst that can happen?  You eliminate some chemicals, tweak your diet and feel better?  It’s okay I promise.
